Maisie, you're having so much fun I feel guilty boring you with stuff about my waterfall pic ;D
It was perhaps a bad eg of just what PS can do cos it involved some photography too but without PS it wouldn't have been possible.
What I did was take two pics of the waterfall, one at high shutter speed to get the water 'frozen in time' and another at slow to get the blurred water effect. Then superimposed one on top of the other in PS using layers and adjusting the opacity of the top layer. You get both effects in one then.
You can go back to 'Celebrity Maisie Snogging' now ;D

Veggie, I think you're in the wrong job. Everytime I look at your site I see something different. You should go in to professional photography. You're in the wrong job!

A slightly different PS effect; superimposing flowing water over 'stationary' to get an interesting effect Ohh, I love it. Looks quite ethereal.

I love photoshop! I have it on my PC at work, and at home. When I'm bored at work, I enter the photoshop contests on fark.com sometimes. My most recent was a contest where the theme was "things that were harder before computers", and this was my entry:

This was the one I couldn't see at work and I forgot to look at it when I got home. What do you get if you win the contest? I really want photoshop. 'Course, I don't even take pics on a regular basis - I don't have it in me, but I can play with everyone else's.
