Well as I'd been a bit poorly this month and hadn't been my usual gym freakish self, yesterday afternoon I went for a nice walk in the sun in a country park for about an hour and a half and down the canal to get myself back in the swing of exercising.
Have also promised my Mum I'll go to Thai Chi on Monday as have encouraged her to take up some exercise so will be travelling down to see her to give her some moral support!
Anyone here done Thai Chi before?

Today I walked about 4 or 5 miles down the River Thames in the rain, sun and hail...... yep England was having a wierd weather day as usual. Tomorrow I am going to a Tai Chi class with my Mum for the first time as trying to get her fit, so will be going as moral support..... wonder what it will be like?!

Well I went to Tai Chi for an hour...... was a different experience.... very strange, but am going to keep it up........ My mum hated it though!
Then as my mum dropped out halfway during the class, (I continued) I said to her she wasn't getting out of exercise that easily so we went for a lovely walk down the canal for half an hour.

Went for a mile run today. Have decided I want to get into long distance running.
Will be a long process, but will try and go about 4 times a week an gradually increase the distance.

Tigger, you are doing really well with the exercise! I walked 3 and a half miles on Monday, ran/walked 4 and a half miles on Wednesday, did an hour at the gym on Thursday and the same on Friday. I have a gadget called a Torso Track at home which exercises your arms and stomach, and I have done that twice daily all week. No alcohol whatsoever and very little bread (probably 2 slices all week). I feel fine but have had a muzzy headache for a few days which I take to be a detox thing from the alcohol (was drinking about 3 bottles of wine a week).

Like the sound of that Torso Track gadget. One hour mixture of running and walking for me today....... Well was about 40 mins fast walking and 20 mins jogging in intervals up and down a hilly park.
