OK, so who are these famous, or not necessarily famous but vegans who have done work that you admire?
I'll start with the first one:
Ghandi.
Who's next?

Ghandi was vegan? Wow!! I love his quote "first they ignore you, then they laugh at u, then they fight u and then u win". I have that on my lounge wall!! I admire Mel Broughton. Hes an amazing guy. He lives in a scabby little flat without a tv or a sofa. He does gardening work to get by and is just so dedicated. I just cant think of any famous vegans apart from that bald headed singer....wotsisname.....Moby thats it.

To be honest...I dont really admire famous vegan people a great deal. Its great that they are vegan, but in their positions, I think they could do more for veganism. They live in nice houses and drive nice cars and have all the top beauty treatments (mostly). I dont believe that their veganism is as imprtant to them as the grass roots campaigners we have on the streets. If so, they should really take advantage of their positions and stick their necks above the pharapet (sp?).

I remember Champion! I cant remember the dogs name though I remember the song "Like a streak of lightning flashin cross the sky, like a mighty cannon ball he seems to fly, you'll hear about him evrywhere you go, the time will come when everyone will know the name of....CHAMPION THE WONDER HORSE.!! ;D *stops realising own foolishness*. I admire Tiggerwoos. Shes the only famous vegan I know.

Awwwww fankoo Tabs....... ROFL!
Saucy, yep I understand what you mean. I wish that famous vegans would do more for veganism as it's people like that who are role models for the younger generation, and if they put a bit more effort into it then, it might encourage others to go vegan.

Since famous and admirable tend to be mutually exclusive terms in our society I can still cite Ben Zephaniah as an all round role model. His work is in the National Curriculum somehow now too I am told..
And Alicia Silverstone OBVIOUSLY. Sorry, calm down.

Isn't Brian Adams vegan? If he is, I hope he keeps his bloody mouth shut about it before anyone thinks we're all talentless goons.

The current day vegan whom I have a lot of respect for is Persia White ( she plays Lynn on " Girlfriends " - a TV series on cable ). Not only is she a beautiful, glowing advert for veganism, but she also does a lot of work for animal and human rights. She has recently done a PETA ad. titled " Here's the rest of your fur coat " - very graphic and hard-hitting!
