What do your companion animals do that make you laugh, smile or bring tears to your eyes? Stories,or even better piccies also to give us all a giggle would be great.

God where would I start!
When I go into the bathroom at night & Jethro's curled up in his basket I like to check to see if he wants to come into bed beside me. I'll put my hand under his bum and he'll stand up with a lil mrrrrrr then he'll turn around and when I go to put my hand under his tummy to lift him he gives a really grumpy MMMRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRPPPPTTTTTT which lets me know he does not.... if I did it every night for a month it would happen the same way lol.
He's got wise to us sleeping with our earplugs in so to waken us he'll either sit up beside my head and give a big mmmmmrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrpppp into my face or sit on hubby's chest and do it into his face.
He used to run into the bedroom before hubby and wait at the side of the bed watching for hubby coming in... when hubby stepped through the door towards the bed Jethro would jump onto hubby's side and flop down with a really smug look on his face... he is known to claim chairs this way on hubby too.
Angus loves his mummy so much he has to follow me from room to room, jumping on every bit of furniture and clawing at my clothes as I try to get by... this can continue when I go to the loo.. I'll be sittin on the throne and he tries to jump on my knee!

Lillian my greyhound has absolutely blossomed since she has been here, she was an emergency rescue I was only supposed to go collect and hold over night, I was the nearest body and she needed out of the situation she was unfortunately in immediately, she was then to go into the rescue kennels for assessment, treatment etc. BUT... lol... I fell in love with her the moment I set eyes on her! The 'people' couldnt even remember her name She was scabby, underweight, had sores, terrible teeth (she had to have most removed, she only has 6 now!) she was really bald too - but the minute my eyes met hers - that was it for me - she wasnt going anywhere - I rang the rescue to tell them that Id sucessfully managed to get her and she was safe, and errrrrrrrrrm she needed to stay with me for assessment LOL! Ive fostered loads of dogs, had dogs for a quick stop overnighter till they go on to their rescue placement - but Lil ! she was one that never was going anywhere else the minute I clapped eyes on her. She is my soul dog! She is now the most quirky loving dog you could imagine, she hassles you when she wants something, She pokes you with her loong nose until you give in.... I can be in the garden and hear 'Alright Lil, stop poking I'll take you for walk!' from my eldest or 'Lil stop, I know its biscuit time!' - muuuum Lil wants biscuits' from my youngest Son. One of the most special moments with her was when she roached for the first time, lots of hounds do it, they lay on their backs with their legs waving in the air, and some fall asleep like it. Its when they are totally relaxed. Lil had some issues, she would have nightmares and had whats termed as sleep agression - some dogs that have been abused when asleep, will react before they think and when touched will snap, growl, out of panic. We all know not to touch a dog thats asleep, but some will fall asleep on you/next to you and suddenly twitch and go for it. So the best time ever was when Lil roached in her sleep, which meant she was relaxed enough with us to let down her guard. she is fantastic... Did I mention there are thousands of greyhounds needing sofas all over the world - cough! go on you all need a greyhound in your lives ;D

I would sooooo love to have two greyhounds. However, I dont think the cat would be impressed (or alive even) if they came here! Maybe one day.

We wouldn't be able to take in dogs atm with the two kitties & such a small house but we reckon we will home & foster grey hounds when we get the chance... hubby does a lot of running so there'd be no problem exercising them.

and greyhounds are soooooooooo lazy, they are the coach potatoes of the doggy world, they are built for short bursts of sprinting, I have to prise most off the sofa, and if its raining youve had it, far too sensible to walk out in the rain LOL

lol lavender it'd be the dog I'd worry about! I have two quite large 13yr old, ginger brothers who've never had to share their house or their mummy with anything four legged (hubby had to pass the initiation lol). Tbh they'd half murder any poor dog who came into this house. Angus won't even let any other cat into the garden, when he sees one he actually climbs right up the run to the roof spitting & hissing with a tail like a raccoon! Not the friendliest to other animals that one!

I love these stories.
Well, I've got loads, but will just mention a couple in brief.
Tigger the cat thinks he's a dog and if he sees us going for a walk he will follow us.
Luckily we live in a village, so there is very little traffic as he has a thing about darting across the road, but he is pretty streetwise though.
If we go via what the villagers call the "splash" though which is a little wier by the lake and river he meows pitifully and is too scared of the noise of the cascading water to go that way, so will make his way to the other end of the lake where we exit and meet us there half an hour later!
Also Lucy the collie loves having her teeth brushed and as have got into a routine of brushing their teeth daily she will quite happily sit there for ages licking the toothbrush and chewing it in an effort to clean her own teeth!
They're off to the grooming parlour on Wed to have the dogs winter coats clipped as they seem to be getting so hot when we are playing football, so will hopefully make them more comfy.
Will get around to posting piccies then when they are looking all smart! Haven't installed my camera thing to my new PC yet......... That's my excuse anyway!

Really?!! I wonder if I should look into it then. I just assumed theyd go for the jugular!! I visit a lot of elderly people and Ive always fantasised that my dog would come with me and get spoilt rotten by the oldies.
