OK, here's a bit of info, like you, I want to my first demo and hoping to go to the World Lab Animals Day at Oxford on 22nd April. Anyway, a couple of links to get you started: www.speakcampaigns.org.uk This has all the info and are the main campaigners involved with the Stop The Oxford Lab Marches and www.shac.net These are the campaigners ending to put an end to the cruel Huntington Life Sciences. Hope this helps!

Anyone going to The World Lab Animals Day Protest in Oxford on Saturday? Am off to work in the morning to beg, borrow or steal a day off work if I can. After seeing some stupid doc on the news this evening going on about how helpful animal testing was, it has only made me more determined to go on the march? www.speakcampaigns.org.uk

Off now to cause mayhem (just kidding) at the march!
Look out for me on tv everyone!
I'll be the one being handcuffed by the police!
My piccie is somewhere on the My Day post in the Anything Goes section!
Will have a banner that says
Stop the testing Or we'll keep pestering!
Wish me luck!

Well here I am, back safe and sound in one peace and was on my best behaviour.
The march went really well. Were loads of us, more than expected and some excellent talks form some of the main SPEAK leaders.
On the way up to the demo when we were driving we stumbled across the lab that is being built and it is wrapped up like Fort Knocks to stop anyone destroying that (shame really!) but after attending the march and even having members of the public joining in the march as we walked around was really heartening.
Here's to the next march and the end of the lab!

Ah, good good. Didn't see anything about it on the news though. And I put Sky News on especially for it! Heard a brief thing on radio 5 about it though.

Apparantly there was a snippet on some BBC local news that afternoon, but that was it. Haven't found anything in the papers today, despite loads of them turning up on the day. It seems like it would only have made news, if we had caused trouble..... Typical. All I could find on the article was something which didn't impress me as they dragged up pictures of an incident in one of January's marches...... Grrrrrrrr! news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/oxfordshire/4930840.stmWas not impressed.
