n my opinion, veganism isn't about being forced to not eat this & that, but a choice. Maybe I think this way because being vegan is easy & natural for me ? For me too. The very thought of putting an animal product in my mouth makes me feel sick and I only use that method for dieting. I don't have the slightest desire to eat anything non-vegan but some vegans still yearn for the taste of certain non-vegan 'foods' so for them, this method might be useful. that's true I guess for me it's easier coz I've been veg for so long & since i'm extremely sensitive so i never get that yearn, thus i don't need to gross myself out

Hi All A very newbie here who has just introduced myself (so won't bore you by explaining again)and saw this post heading. I just wanted to say that you're comments are very reassuring as I've only been on my new life for a week, and although I know I will do it I also know that there will be a few slipups along the way so whilst I may beat myself up, I feel I won't be outcasted lol! Luv meli x Chickpea - by the way I also live in Newquay (@ 9years so only a year to go before honourary local lol)

I have not a good enough explantion. I am weak and a bit mad. I have been a veggie for several years but not a vegan for very long. I am naughty and i feel i have been punished by admitting my shame. I am sorry.
Tab, what are these Asda fillet things?? Are they like the quorn but vegan?

Don't feel punished Billy. Tans is giving useful advice on how to stay on the side of truth and light. I think the vast majority of meat eaters do so because they do not think of what happens to the animals, the meat industry does put an awful lot of effort in hiding what goes on with promotion, dodgy packaging etc.
Maybe its worth having a read of some books and pamphlets to re-inspire you? I can remember a few years ago feeling like I wasn't sure what it was all about any more and I read 'Animal Liberation' by Peter Singer. Its not the most super radical book around but it very much helped me re connect with why I bother.
That and a few Asda pretend chicken thingies and you'll be as right as rain ;D

^ What they said - apart from the bit about eating Pob's underpants Don't let one slip let you get too discouraged, Billy.

Thank you all for the postive comments. Tabs was certainly not having a go at me and i feel ashamed by what i did. I feel a dickhead to be honest, however, i have slipped up but will carry on regardless. I will go to Asda today and i will try these chicken like thingys and i will give you more verdict. I will be honest. I still think Tabs eating Pobs underpants could be interesting though??? P.S Are they the southern fried variety???

I could only see the southern variety chicken at asda. I did not bother with them to be honest. I did buy grolsh beer instead...

Can I just say how nice it is to find people actually supporting others if they have slipped up? When I was mooching around the VF earlier, I noticed that one or two of the posters really jumped down others throats if they've done things like become vegan for health reasons (or had been vegetarian beforehand)!
(edited for typo)
