Which reminds me, I'd better recolour my sons hair before he goes back to school and they realise his hair is coloured. It really annoys me when schools won't let kids have certain hairstyles. Why can't they just let the kids be themselves, and its not like they even have a choice to go to school or not. Grrrr if I was headmistress there would be no uniform and creativity would be encouraged.

lovely colour Maisie! it really suits you - I like the fringe too!
My son has dyed black hair, school dont mind, and its quite a strict school, you can dye your hair as long as its not a bright colour like blue/pink etc, so blond, reddish and black are all fine, most of the kids that are 'indi' for want of a better word, have dyed black hair. thank goodness for herbatint! lol

you can dye your hair as long as its not a bright colour like blue/pink etc Thats what I was hoping but not sure considering the dumbness of some of the school rules. Kyle will be moving upto high school from primary and I know high schools are more stricter on appearance.

my Son is in Secondary school , , its a strict grammar school especially on uniform which you can only buy from school or the designated school shop (costapacket ltd) , so I thought he would not be allowed, but the kids tend to be more alternative there for some reason, not many chavs LOL, they all tend to be skater/gothy/emo, so either long hair or spikey black, thats the boys btw. The School did send home one of my son's mates for having purple hair - so purple is on the not allowed list LOL. They cant ban black hair, they would have to send home everyone with black hair in that case - natural or not!
My little'un is in primary and is growing his hair, its getting pretty long now, he isnt interested in hair dye yet ! he says he is a hippy ;D

Lavender my son would love to go to that school. He totally hates chavs (so do I actually) Unfortunately they're everywhere where we live
