What about a walk and vegan picnic? Along a river or through a nice woods or something. Somewhere reasonably central would be good.
That should be easy to arrange, and Sundays would be no problem as we wouldn't need to shop or anything.

I went there once with a vegan group that used to meet on Sundays for meals out. I don't remember what the main course was, but for pudding I had hot bananas done in something. I can't go back. Not after 'the incident'. I don't want to talk about it, though. Those girls were lying. And the magistrate believed me - again. We could have a Geordie vegan meetup as long as there were lots of female-types there - especially drunk ones, who are not too fussy. Oh no, I didn't like the look of it. Sorry you had a bad experience. Do you know any Geordie vegans? Inviting Geordie female vegans who 'aren't fussy' sounds good lol Providing they don't smoke.

There are quite a few. Four or five in North Shields. The head gardeners of two local National Trust properties. Three or four years ago there were two female-type students at Durham (probably back home now). And a few people in Newcastle. When I used to go out with the sabs - before the petition asking me to stay away - most of them were vegans. Some must still be alive. Although some of them were students who came from strange towns. I've lost touch but there was quite a gang of them. You never know what might crawl out if you turn a few stones over.

Wow, I never knew this. Do you know if any of them have contact details online, for instance do they have a website?
Apparently there is a NE veggie group, although not all members are vegan.
I do love going to The Sky Apple :>

A walk and picnic sounds good to me. I'm off every other Sunday, so all we need to do is arrange a time and place for everyone. Good thinking Pob. Any ideas people?
