I haven't lost a single pound yet in the 2 months since I gave up but I have been trying out a lot of vegan desserts. Damn you, Swedish Glace with melted Chocoreale!
And I am breastfeeding so I think that can make your body hang on to fat a bit until you stop <hopeful>

Um, I hate to break it to you Gogo, but you are delivering up a lot of calories through your breastmilk. You may find you put weight on when you stop. You should possibly think about reducing your food intake a little after you wean the baby, or start exercising more to use those calories up.

NOOO! Don't say that!
I don't think I eat that much right now, and I've been bfing for a year already... I've lost a bit but I've definitely plateaued and becoming vegan hasn't made a difference...
Some people have told me they didn't lose any weight until after they stopped bfing, then it all just fell off in a few months. Something about your body going into conserving mode while you're feeding the babe... I don't know though, what you say makes sense though Sluggie... guess I'll find out when the little 'un stops milkies (which could be a while yet judging by her!)

I'm only speaking from my own experience. The weight fell off me while I was breastfeeding (probably because my son was a greedy whatsit, never happy except when at the breast). I was like that cow in the Mootrix.
I got pregnant with my second while still feeding the first, but after I stopped feeding her, I piled weight on.
If you wind down the feeding gradually, perhaps you won't notice a dramatic difference one way or the other. I guess you'll just have to wait and see.

I have only gained weight since I became vegan more than a year ago. I was slender when I was on an omni and a vegetarian diet, but that was over when I decided to go vegan. I may eat a little more than before, but I also get more daily excercise. In June I am going to have a look at a new gym here in my town. I hope that they can help me loose the weight I have gained and improve my health (I have also been ill more often than before while I practically exist on oranges).
