Wabbit's art department « Thread Started on Oct 18, 2008, 11:40am »
Several months ago, I have started expanding my art to sculpting, using white terracotta clay. I thought I'd share my projects with you in this separate thread, as the photography one is a) quite big, and b) different artistical expressions. These are the ring holders I made. I call the first one "Hypnosis" & haven't chosen a name for the flower-looking one yet (your input is always welcome TY)

My current projects :
This rural landscape, which I plan to call "Cycles"
On the scape side there will be a river, small houses, hill, on the inside different seasonal views, with day sky, and outside, the night sky, thus fulfilling several cycles. I've waited for it to dry for over a week so I could start painting, but I gotta fix this crack first, and wait for it to dry once again.
Edit : I showed this crack to my wife ; after her questions, it turned out I had totally forgot to use the scoring technique she had explained to me a few months ago when I started this new hobby. This is why it cracked ! To fix it, she suggested I paint it uniformly, as the acrylics should help bind, and then paint my project & finish with the usual glazing. So, I went ahead & painted it all white. Tomorrow morning, I'll start my project & also paint this inscence holder :
